It's been a month since closing.
Unpacking has taken quite a long time.

This is a great house.
The yard is huge ... and we have LOTS of trees!

3,000 square feet.
3-car detached garage.
1 bedroom.
The master is really the only bedroom.

Then there is an office, as it doesn't have a closet.
And then the loft.  There's a bathroom with a shower ... and a really cool closet.
So, all of the kids will be up there.

The rest of the house is one big living room, kitchen, and dining room.

One of my favorite parts of the house is the "Shack"
I think the Newkirks used it as an office, but now it's a kids play house.
We put a TV, Xbox, drum set, and toys out there.

Job Change

Today was Steve's last day at MSI.
Although Jim offered to let him go part-time,
he wanted him to work 5 days a week ... and verbally commit for 2 years.

With Meadows at Marshdale demanding all of our efforts to become a thriving business ...
we need him in Evergreen full time.
Although we enter this with a healthy fear ...
I am excited he will be working from home.

It's such a gift ... a long time dream that we can work where we live
... and Steve can work for himself.
Truly thankful!

Shiloh, Noel, and Emily have been planning to get their hair cut together.
They have been looking at photos in magazines,
emailing each other,
talking on the phone about it ...

and the day finally came!
We all met in Parker.
Grace knows a homeschooled gal who cuts hair at Cost Cutters.

The girls were so excited.
Andie kept the littles entertained, shopping at King Soopers.

Noel cut off just a bit.

Emily cut off a bit more.

Shiloh cut off quite a bit.

They were absolutely adorable!
Their long awaited day came!

We ended with ice cream at McDonalds.

A Tweener

No matter how much I have wished it away ...
we have a 12 year old.
A 'tweener.
A Middle Schooler.

We had a small family cake party at mom and dad's on the 15th.

She wanted to celebrate with her best friends ... Noel and Emily.
And she wanted to buy an iPod Touch.
So, she saved $200 and got her iPod.
On the 16th, we had to finish testing at the Brimberry's
Then ... she got to go to the pool, followed by dinner at Noodles and ice cream with her girlfriends.

Open House

It was a fine day for an open house.
We thought a progressive dinner, of sorts, might be a fun time.
But naturally, we ended up giving tours to all of our guests.

Over 100 people came to see the property.
It was a great celebration!
We are truly blessed to call this place home.

Closing Day

After moving ... and moving some more ...
and cleaning ... and cleaning some more ...
today is closing day.

It's hard to believe that we bought this house 4 years ago for $180,000.
We only owe $160,000 on it ...
and we are selling it for $289,900.

It's been amazing to see how God has done this for us 4 times now.
4 houses purchased.
4 houses where we made a lot of money in the sale.
Bought low.
Sold high.
Such a gift.

And ready for the next season!

Neighborhood Walk

We took our first walk through the neighborhood.

The loop, up and over Singing Springs, takes about 45 minutes.
The view from the top is unbeatable!

And I was camera happy!
